The Mission

Who: Started From One

What: A contemporary product design practice using different mediums of design & art to tell stories as vehicles to connect worlds & ideas, ultimately realizing a conversation on historical identity.

When: Our journey began in 2020.

Why: Historically, social division has come from our attachments to a particular identity. Identity plays a significant role in the oppression and denigration of certain groups and ethnicities. These identities are a projection of one person/group to another, coloring the interactions with self & the world through the inaccurate lens of a projected identity. The origins of our individual and collective identities must be understood to a deeper degree to alter this reoccurring factor. When we hone in on our true identities, we eliminate projected identities that keep us bound, elevating our understanding of One & All.

How: By weaving the interconnecting threads of art, storytelling, design & technology. We will consequently peel back the layers of identity, revealing who we are, what we are, whenever we are, why we are, & how we are Started From One.

Identity cannot be found or fabricated but emerges from within when one has the courage to let go.
